1. About OncoChecks
OncoChecks is a private, consultant-led cancer screening and advisory service
operating in the United Kingdom. Services are provided by or under the
supervision
of a GMC-registered consultant medical oncologist.
OncoChecks does not provide emergency care.
2. Scope of services
OncoChecks provides:
- Consultant-led cancer risk assessment
- Advice on appropriate screening and investigations
- Interpretation of diagnostic test results
- Guidance on next steps and onward referral where appropriate
Investigations such as blood tests, imaging, or endoscopy are arranged through trusted third-party providers. These services are not performed directly by OncoChecks unless explicitly stated.
3. No emergency or urgent care
OncoChecks is not an emergency service.
If you have urgent symptoms, severe pain, sudden deterioration, or concerns that
require immediate attention, you should contact NHS 111, your GP, or attend
Accident & Emergency.
4. Medical information and decision-making
All recommendations are based on the information you provide and the clinical
judgement of the consultant at the time of consultation.
Medical decisions involve uncertainty. Screening tests have limitations and may
produce false positive or false negative results. No screening test can
guarantee the
detection or exclusion of cancer.
5. Appointments and fees
Fees for consultations and services are clearly communicated in advance.
Payment is required prior to, or at the time of, your appointment unless otherwise
agreed.
Missed or cancelled appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee if less than
[48] hours’ notice is given.
6. Third-party providers
Diagnostic tests are performed by external laboratories, imaging centres, or clinics.
These providers operate under their own terms and regulatory frameworks.
OncoChecks is not responsible for delays, technical issues, or service failures
arising from third-party providers, although we will support you in navigating any
issues where possible.
7. Confidentiality
Your medical information is handled in accordance with UK data protection law and professional confidentiality standards. Further details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by
negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Otherwise, liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, branding, and logos, is the property of OncoChecks unless otherwise stated and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
